Clearly she is clueless. I believe Bernanke has a very difficult job, but given the lack of economists in Congress it is no wonder we are in such a financial mess with astronomical deficits and government spending. Bernanke schooled Rep. Waters, but she still did not get it. The discount rate is not related to mortgage rates, adjustable or otherwise.
