Taxes are not a problem per se, the problem is U dont get full value for the money extorted, the govt wastes most of it on itself & creates itself a ruling class and an exploited class to support them.

I want to back your view on :profits” as well. My wife works for large corp. They have been the same thing since January. Laying off both white and blue collar workers. A few here or a few there. “Rearranging departments”, nothing big just a little bit at a time. Sales are down, but profits are up.

Not everyone pays taxes though, as the poor are really excluded from that. When you have close to 50% of your nation not paying taxes or being so poor as to be unable to pay taxes, you know you’ve got a problem.

They often get the shaft, but I’m talking about the lion’s share of government revenues versus how they stick it to the poor with tickets & fees. Sure those have an impact, but my point is that the vast majority of taxes that the government takes in and operates on are payed by the middle class and the rich.
